Oven and stove top not working. If your oven isn t working not reaching the correct temperature or getting too hot it might need to be calibrated. The resistance should rise as the temperature of the oven increases. If you stove top igniters are functioning normally but your oven won t light then it is likely an issue with the igniter and not the gas. The unit is getting power as evidenced by the working burners so there must be something wrong with the oven heating element.
If the sensor isn t working replace it. Verify that the heating element or gas igniter is working and replace it if not. The location varies between models but it is generally found near the oven burners. If after checking it you notice that it is still not working then you may want to consider replacing the electric stove burner or at least test it with another burner that you know it is working.
If everything s been checked or replaced recalibrate the oven. Locate the igniter in your oven. If you noticed that the burner is not working on electric stove the first thing to check is to see if it is plugged into the socket properly over time they can come loose and since they are not making the right contact the burner may appear to either not work at all or it won t heat up properly. If your electric oven is not working but the stove top is the situation is similar to that of a gas stove.
If the top burners do not work but the clock does work your appliance may be wired improperly contact your installer for further assistance. You can check this by removing the burner and performing a continuity test. The element may be burnt out. Check circuit breakers fuses and power cord.
